General Coordinator at Forum Civil (SENEGAL SECTION OF TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL)
Birahim Seck is the head of the Civil Forum, a civil society association which was created in January 1993 on the basis of a manifesto containing eleven guiding principles which inspire the action of the association for the promotion of a global and participative democracy declined in all its dimensions: political, social, economic and cultural, the emergence of a new citizenship consecrating an active and responsible citizen who is able to have his aspirations taken into account by the decision-makers and to demand respect for the principle of accountability.
It also advocates transparency, good governance and the fight against corruption in addition to the enhancement of national expertise and better consideration of the objective technical dimension in decision-making.
